Membership in the Tazewell County Historical Society has reached nearly 300, with people from all over the country who have ties to Tazewell County or Southwestern Virginia.
Dues are only $25 per year for an Individual Membership, and $35 per year for a Sustaining Membership, or $40 per couple. One subscription per membership is given to the quarterly Tazewell County Historical Society Newsletter, a magazine-style publication prepared and edited by volunteers. You will receive the next issue following receipt of your membership fee. The membership year is from January through December. You may also participate in our group tours as part of your membership. In the Summer of 2015, we toured the Deskins-Maxwell home, and plan on touring the Stuart home in Rosedale in December 2015.
We also welcome donations in addition to the annual fee. Contributions help maintain the historic Greever House, our headquarters.
Monthly meeting are held the second Sunday of each month at 2:30 pm. You are welcome to stop by then or during our Wednesday/Thursday hours for more information.
