This is part of Main Street, Tazewell, during a snowstorm in the late 1930s.  Every building in the photo remains standing, except for the double-porched dwelling to the right of the    U. S. Post Office.

 Just to the left of the light pole is the law office built for former Governor George C. Peery, also used as the office for the Chief Justice of Virginia.
